BACKGROUND:
Council Member Wilson has requested discussion on a proposed ordinance prescribing what acrion a future
council will take once the Lake Pat Mayse Study Committee has completed its work. As described at the
March 3rd meeting, if the Study Committee determines that sale of water from Lake Pat Mayse is not in the
best interest of the community then the ordinance would prohibit the Council from selling water. On the
other hand if the Study Committee says there is water to sell then any water sale would have to be approved
by the voters.
