RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Approve a reduction in the membership of the Code Enforcement Task Force from seventeen (17) to
fifteen (15).
POLICY ISSUE~S~:
BACKGROUND:
At its meeting on January 22, 2008, the Code Enforcement Task Force did not attain a quorum until
almost twenty (20) minutes after the scheduled begin time, thus reducing the amount of time the Task
Force had to perform its assigned functions (meetings run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. only). At its
meeting on March 4, 2008, the Task Force failed to reach a quorum at all by one member and was
unable to hold its meeting.
In order to give the Task Force a better chance of attaining a quorum, it is requested that the size of the
committee be reduced by two. Members who have been unable to attend regularly will be contacted to
determine if they wish to continue to serve so the Council can accurately determine by which two slots
to reduce.
