BACKGROUND:
This item is to receive Attorney advice on legal issues related to Lake Pat Mayse
Initiative Water Petition and City Charter process for handling of the Initiative Petition;
and to receive Attorney advice on legal issues related to the ordinance requested by City
Council at its March 24th meeting pertaining to the sale of raw water from Lake Pat
Mayse to persons or entities outside of Lamar County, Texas.
This item also provides for the completion of performance reviews of the City Attorney,
Municipal Court Judge and the City Manager in Executive Session as allowed under
Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code. At the March 24 meeting, Council gave
verbal reviews and decided to turn in the written evaluations at the April 14 meeting.
