Approve the Preliminary and Final plat for Food Fast Corporation of Lot 1, Block A, City
Block 170-A, being number 2107 S. Church Street.

BACKGROUND:
Food Fast Corporation is requesting approval of the preliminary and final plat for the
property to rebuild the building that burned. A memo is attached explaining the issue with
the onsite drainage and why the drainage easement is being removed from the plats.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
The Commission recommended approval of both preliminary and final plat subject to the City Engineer's
recommendation by a vote of 5-0.

I have reviewed the preliminary plat of the above referenced addition. It appears that the
preliminary plat complies with the City of Paris subdivision regulations with the following
exceptions:
1. Provide a contact person for Food Fast Corporation.
2. Remove the 20-feet Drainage easement from the plat. The drainage is only from this lot
so it will not be needed.
I recommend approval of the preliminary plat upon completion of the items above item.

complies with the City of Paris subdivision regulations with the following exceptions:

so it will not be needed.
I recommend approval of the final plat upon submission of a corrected mylar copy with
signatures of the surveyor and owners prior to April 14~', 2008.

Following up on conversations between you and Brad Osborne, we have done further topographic
surveys of the drainage ditch along the south side of Block A, Lot 1 of Food Fast Addition 170-A.
~'e have determined that the ditch drainage area is contained within this particular property, and the
ditch would therefore not require public improvements. We trust this will answer any questions
about this item on the preliminary plat. The 20' drainage easement will be removed on the
