BACKGROUND:
The property owners have submitted a site plan to construct two hotels on the subject
property in accordance with the requirements of planned development districts. The site
plan has been reviewed and found to contain all of the minimum elements to satisfy the
City of Paris site plan requirements.

ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
APPROVING AN AMENDED SITE PLAN FOR A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
DISTRICT- COMMERCIAL CENTER (PD-a1), PREVIOUSLY ESTABLISHED
BY THE ENACTMENT OF ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 2007-013, PART OF
LOT 7, CITY BLOCK 381, 1VOW BEING LOTS 1 AND 2, BLOCK A OF THE
SAGESTAR HOLDINGS LTD 318 ADDITION, LOCATED AT 3025 NE LOOP
286, PARIS, TEXAS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS
RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, on July 9, 2007, the City Council of the City of Paris, Texas enacted
Ordinance No. 2007-013, establishing a Planned Development District-Retail Commercial
Center (PD-a1) on Part of Lot 7 City Block 381, now being Lots 1 and 2, Block A of the
Sagestar Holdings Ltd 318 Addition located at 3025 NE Loop 286, Paris, Texas as described
in the aforesaid ordinance (hereinafter the "Property"); and,
WHEREAS, Sagestar Holdings Ltd has filed an Amended Site Plan for the Property
in connection with their plans to build a Holiday Inn Express and Comfort Suites on the
Property; and,
WHEREAS, the Amended Site Plan as shown on Exhibit A attached hereto, has been
reviewed by the City Engineer and Community Development Director and is hereby
submitted to City Council for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby
in all things approved.
Section 2. That the amended site plan, including the drainage plan, for Lots 1 and
2, Block A, Sagestar Holdings Ltd 318 Addition, located at 3025 NE Loop 286, attached
hereto as Exhibit A, be and the same is hereby, approved.
Section 3. All provisions of the ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other provisions of the ordinances
of the City of Paris not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall remain in full force
and effect.
Section 4. The repeal of any ordinance or part of ordinances affected by the
enactment of this ordinance shall not be construed as abandoning any action now pending

under or by virtue of such ordinance or as discontinuing, abating, modifying, or altering any
penalty accruing or to accrue, or as affecting any rights of the municipality under any section or
provisions of any ordinance at the time of passage of this ordinance.
Section 5. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Paris that this
ordinance, and every provision hereof, shall be considered severable, and the invalidity or
partial invalidiry of any section, clause, or provisions of this ordinance shall not affect the
validity of any other portion of this ordinance.
Section 6. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a
Misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2000.00, and each and
every day's continuance of any violation of the above-enumerated sections shall constitute and be
deemed a separate offense.
Section 7. That this ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage and
publication as required by law.
