RESOLUTION NO. 2002-069
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT TO THE
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER CONTRACT FOR THE SANTA FE - FRISCO
RAILROAD DEPOT PROJECT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 6th day of May,
1999, in Resolution No. 99-044, award the construction manager contract for the Santa Fe Frisco
Railroad Depot Rehabilitation Project, CSJ #0901-29-012, to Hanson and Associates; and,
WHEREAS, the Project Director, Thomas E. Haynes, acting as project director,
recommends the amendment of the contract for said project, providing for a net increase of
$38,178.00 in the contract price, for a total contract price of$88,178.00; and,
WHEREAS, the form ofthe Supplemental Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should,
in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the form of the Supplemental Agreement to the Construction Manager
Contract for the Santa Fe Frisco Railroad Depot Rehabilitation Proj ect, CSJ #0901-29-012, attached
hereto as Exhibit A, to adjust the original contract to include additional construction management
services to complete the project and provide for a net increase of $38, 178.00 in the contract price,
for a total contract price of$88,178.00, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf
of the City of Paris, said Change Order, upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in
Exhibit A, attached hereto.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage.

SUPPLEMENT AGREEMENT NO.1
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER CONTRACT
THE STATE OF TEXAS ~
THE COUNTY OF LAMAR ~
TIDS AMENDMENT is made by and between the City of Paris, hereinafter called the
City, and Hansen & Associates, Inc., hereinafter called the Construction Manager, and becomes
effective when fully executed by both parties.
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, the City and the Construction Manager executed a contract on the 6th day
of May, 1999, to effectuate their agreement to authorize the Construction Manager to provide
construction management services on the Paris Santa Fe-Frisco Railroad Depot Rehabilitation
Project as required by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the contract specifies that the contract completion date is the date of the
completion of the project, unless the contract is otherwise terminated or modified; and,
WHEREAS, the contract establishes the maximum amount payable under the contract as
an amount not to exceed $50,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, it has become necessary and desirable to amend the contract:
AGREEMENT
NOW, THEREFORE, premises considered, the City and the Construction Manager do
agree that the contract is amended as follows:
I. The services to be provided by the Construction Manager, are amended to add the
following activities and costs:
To amend the original contract amount to include additional construction
management services for the balance of time it will take to complete the Paris Santa
Fe-Frisco Railroad Depot Rehabilitation Project.
II. The maximum amount payable under this contract is increased from $50,000.00 to
$88,178.00.
III. The contract period shall run until the project is complete.

All other provisions are unchanged and remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties to this amendment have signed duplicate
counterparts.
