2002-018-RES AUTHORIZE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR PURCHASE OF AGGREGATE COVER STONE (TYPE B, GRADE 4, UNCOATED) FOR PUBLIC WORKS DEPT
RESOLUTION NO. 2002-018
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR
THE PURCHASE OF AGGREGATE COVER STONE (TYPE B, GRADE 4,
UNCOATED) FOR USE IN THE STREET DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC
WORKS DEPARTMENT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS
RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 17th day of
September, 2001, in Ordinance No. 2001-061, authorize the purchase of Aggregate Cover Stone
(Type B, Grade 4, Uncoated) for use in the Street Division of the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the purchase of said materials be approved and
that the same be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
things approved.
Section 2. That the purchase of Aggregate Cover Stone (Type B, Grade 4, Uncoated) for
use in the Street Division of the Public Works Department be, and the same is hereby, approved.
Section 3. That such purchase of materials be advertised for bids to be received after due
notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris,
Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, February 5,2002, at which time said bids will
be opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Lamar County,
Texas, and bids will be tabulated and presented to the City Council at a later date for the purpose
of letting such bid.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
