MINUTES OF THE EMERGENCY SPECIAL MEETING OF
THE PARIS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
September 18, 2003
The Paris Economic Development Corporation met in emergency special session
Thursday September 18, 2003, 9:00 A. M., at Paris Junior College, Bobby R.
Walters Applied Technology Building, Room 1208, 2400 Clarksville. Street.
President Wall called the meeting to order with the following Directors present:
Dick Severson, Sims Norment, and Rodney Bass. Also present were Executive
Director Gary Vest, Mayor Curtis Fendley, City Attorney Larry W. Schenk, and
City Clerk Mattie Cunningham.
President Wall announced that the special meeting was called for a closed session
in accordance with Sec. 551.087 of the Open Meetings Act, to discuss possible
incentives, pending negotiations, and commercial financial information from
business prospects and potential financing for a possible Campbell Soup
expansion.
President Wall declared the special meeting closed, and the closed session opened
at 9:05 A..M.
President Wall reconvened the meeting at 10:05 A.M.
President Wall advised the Board that no action on Agenda Item No. 3,
consideration of and action on possible incentives for the possible expansiOn of
Campbell Soup was taken.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Rodney Bass,.seconded
· by Director Severson, to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays.
