Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in special session
on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the City Council
Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted
upon are as follows:
Opening Agenda
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Invocation.
3. Pledge of Allegiance.
Regular Agenda
1. Presentation of proposed 2008-2009 Budget for the City of Paris.
Deliberate on Fiscal Year 2008-2009 Budget. _
2. Deliberate and act on a resolution calling a public hearing on the
City Manager's proposed budget for fiscal year 2008-2009.
3. Deliberate and act on a resolution calling two public hearings to
receive public comment on the City's proposal to increase total tax
revenues.
4. Deliberate and act on a resolution to call for a vote on the tax rate
for tax year 2008.
5. Deliberate on possible future agenda items.
6. Adj ournment.
