City Engineer <br />Council Date: <br />/Director of Public Works <br />10. <br />11-24-2008 <br />RECOMMENDED MOTION: <br />Approve a resolution to enter into a contract with Resource Management & Consulting <br />Co. to provide contract management services for our Office of Rural Community Affairs <br />(ORCA) Texas Community Development Block Grant (TxCDBG) project for water line <br />replacement in the Belmont Addition (NE Paris); and authorizing the City Manager to act <br />as the City's executive officer and authorized representative in all matters pertaining to <br />the contract. <br />POLICY ISSUE(S): <br />Professional Services Contract <br />BACKGROUND: <br />We received our $180,833 award notification on September 25, 2008 from ORCA. The <br />contract requires that we procure professional services for contract management and <br />allows up to $36,700.00 for reimbursement to the company that is selected to perform the <br />contract management. The contract requires an extensive amount of reporting to be done <br />for the project at various stages.
