RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Report on the status of the demolition of the Casa Bonita Apartment Complex.

BACKGROUND:
On November 14, a Notice to Proceed was issued to Intercon Demolition for the demolition of 22
buildings (including those located on adjacent property not owned by the City) and the removal of
numerous concrete building pads and asphalt parking lots associated therewith. Intercon met with
TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) officials at the site on November 25 to explain
the procedure by which Intercon will demolish the buildings. They thereafter submitted their required
ten (10) working day notification and expect to commence demolition the week of December 15.
