2002-041-ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 2-98 OF SAID CODE ORDINANCE NO. 2002-041 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 2-98 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN EMERGENCY AND NON- EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE RATES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That Section 2-98 ofthe Code of Ordinances ofthe City of Paris be, and the same is hereby, amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 2-98. Ambulance Service Rates. "(a) The following rates are established for emergency medical vehicle service for residents and non-residents of Lamar County: "1. MOBILE INTENSIVE $450.00 plus $8.00 per mile CARE UNIT (MICU) from point of pickup to point EMERGENCY of delivery "2. ADVANCED LIFE $400.00 plus $8.00 per mile SUPPORT (ALS) from point of pickup to point EMERGENCY of delivery "3. ADVANCED LIFE $350.00 plus $8.00 per mile SUPPORT (ALS) from point of pickup to point NON-EMERGENCY of delivery "4. BASIC LIFE $350.00 plus $8.00 per mile SUPPORT (BLS) from point of pickup to point EMERGENCY of delivery "5. NON-EMERGENCY $220.00 plus $8.00 per mile TRANSFER SERVICE from point of pickup to point of delivery "6. NON-EMERGENCY TRANSFER SERVICE RETURN TRIP $215.00 plus $8.00 per mile from point of pickup to point of delivery "7. STANDBY $325.00 for the first hour and $60.00 for each additional hour on an as-available, first- request, first-served basis " (b) In addition to the established rates, a usual, reasonable, and customary charge for medical supplies and service used or required in connection with emergency and non-emergency transfer service shall be made." Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 3. That this ordinance shall become effective on October 1, 2002.
