2001-053-RES AUTHORIZING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR WADE PARK
RESOLUTION NO. 2001-053
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
CONTRACT FOR THE WADE PARK, LAMAR AVENUE, AND 24TH
STREET S.E. DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; MAKING OTHER
FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Paris is in need of engineering services for the Wade Park, Lamar
Avenue, and 24th Street S.E. Drainage Improvement Project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that Hayter Engineer Company is best
qualified to perform said services; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the City of Paris that Hayter
Engineering Company be retained to perform said services; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate a professional services
contract with Hayter Engineering Company for engineering services for the Wade Park, Lamar
Avenue, and 24th Street S.E. Drainage Improvement Project.
Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute,
on behalf of the City of Paris, the Professional Services Contract so negotiated.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
