2001-055-RES APPOINTING MEMBER TO LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD TO SERVE UNEXPIRED TERM OF BILL STRATHERN
RESOLUTION NO. 2001-055
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE LIBRARY ADVISORY
BOARD TO SERVE THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF BILL STRATHERN,
WHICH ENDS JUNE 30, 2002; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the Library Advisory Board of the
City of Paris due to the resignation of Bill Strathern, and it is necessary to appoint his successor; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointment of
Anna Davis to serve the unexpired term of Bill Strathern, which ends June 30, 2002; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That Anna Davis be, and she is hereby, appointed to serve the unexpired term of
Bill Strathern, which ends June 30, 2002, as a member of the Library Advisory Board of the City of
Paris.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
