RESOLUTION NO.
2001-058
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. ONE TO THE
CONTRACT FOR THE 1739 NEATHERY STREET STORM WATER
DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT - 2000; MAKING OTHER
FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of July,
2000, in Resolution No. 2000-097, award the contract for the" 1739 Neathery Street Storm Water
Drainage Project No. 45.59 - 2000" to Richard Drake Construction; and,
WHEREAS, the acting City Engineer, Frank Davis, acting as project engineer, recommends
the amendment of the contract for said project to reflect added cost of extended HMAC surface and
sub-base not figured in original scope, and providing for a net increase of$32,975.23 in the contract
price, for a total contract price of$179,671.23; and,
WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. One, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in
all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the form of Change Order No. One to the Contract for the "1739 Neathery
Street Storm Water Drainage Project No. 45.59 - 2000," attached hereto as Exhibit A, to reflect
added cost of extended HMAC surface and sub-base not figured in original scope, and providing for
a net increase of$32,975.23 in the contract price, for a total contract price of$179,671.23, be, and
the same is hereby, approved.
Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf
of the City of Paris, said Change Order No. One, upon the terms and conditions and in the form
shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
