2001-061-RES APPROVING CHANGE OF COUNCIL MEETING DATE
RESOLUTION NO. 2001-061
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE OF COUNCIL MEETING DATE;
MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, various City officials are scheduled to attend various professional meetings and
seminars out of the city during the tirne-ftame June 6 through 8, 2001, which conflicts with the
regularly scheduled City Council rneeting on Thursday, June 7, 200 I; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the regular Thursday meeting of the City Council
scheduled for June 7, 2001, be consolidated with the regular Monday meeting of the City Council
scheduled for June 11,2001; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble ofthis resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the regular Thursday meeting of the City Council scheduled for June 7.
2001, be, and the same is hereby, consolidated with the regular Monday meeting of the City Council
scheduled for June 11,2001, at 6:00 o'clock p.rn.
Section 3. That a copy of this Resolution be placed on the City Hall Bulletin Board giving
notice of the rescheduling of the regular Thursday June Council meeting, and that the news media
be informed of the rescheduled date in the same manner they are informed of emergency City
Council meetings.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
