RESOLUTION NO. 2003-167
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. ONE AND FINAL TO
CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PRO RATA SANITARY
SEWER EXTENSION FOR THE COPE ADDITION ALONG
MEADOWLARK, MOCKINGBIRD, COPE, PINE MILL ROAD, THOMAS
DRIVE, WELCH CIRCLE, AND 46TH STREET N.E. PROJECT; MAKING
OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT;
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 13th day of May,
2002, in Resolution No. 2002-082, award the contract for the Pro Rata Sanitary Sewer Extension
for the Cope Addition along Meadowlark, Mockingbird, Cope, Pine Mill Road, Thomas Drive,
Welch Circle, and 46th Street N.E. Project, to L. C. Brown Construction, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Shawn Napier, acting as project engineer, recommends
the amendment of the contract for said project to make quantity adjustments from as-bid to as-built
as shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, and providing for a net increase of $7,360.99 in the
contract price for a total contract price of $505,231.05; and,
WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. One and Final, attached hereto as Exhibit A,
should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor of the City of Paris should be authorized to
execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
things approved.
Section 2. That the form of Change Order No. One and Final to the Contract for the
construction ofthe "Pro Rata Sanitary Sewer Extension for the Cope Addition along Meadowlark,
Mockingbird, Cope, Pine Mill Road, Thomas Drive, Welch Circle, and 46th Street N.E.
Project," attached hereto as Exhibit A, for the quantity adjustments from as-bid to as-built, and
providing for a net increase of $7,360.99 in the contract price for a total contract price of
$505,231.05, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on
behalf of the City of Paris, said Change Order No. One and Final, under the terms and conditions
and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
