2003-169-RES APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO TWO FOR ANIMAL SHELTER
RESOLUTION NO. 2003-169
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. TWO AND FINAL
TO THE CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW ANIMAL
SHELTER; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED
TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 12th day of
August, 2002, in Resolution No. 2002-129, award the contract for the "City of Paris Animal
Shelter Project" to Reeves Construction Services, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Shawn Napier, acting as project engineer, recommends
the additional amendment ofthe contract for said project to reflect changes as described on Exhibit
A attached hereto, and providing for a net increase of $5,425.00 in the contract price for a total
contract price of $420,251.00; and,
WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. Two and Final, attached hereto as Exhibit A,
should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
things approved.
Section 2. That the form of Change Order No. Two and Final to the Contract for the
"City of Paris Animal Shelter Project," attached hereto as Exhibit A, for the said project to reflect
changes as described on Exhibit A attached hereto, and providing for a net increase of $5,425.00
in the contract price for a total contract price of $420,251.00, be, and the same is hereby,
approved.
Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on
behalf of the City of Paris, said Change Order No. Two and Final, upon the terms and conditions
and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
