RESOLUTION NO. 2003-141
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE MAIN STREET
ADVISORY BOARD TO SERVE THE UNEXPIRED TERMS OF BILL
PAYNE, MARY ANN CHALAIRE, LISA SPANN, AND LINDA RYAN,
WHICH EXPIRE MARCH 31, 2004; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there exist vacancies on the membership of the Main Street Advisory Board
of the City of Paris due to the resignations of Bill Payne, Mary Ann Chalaire, Lisa Spann, and
Linda Ryan, and it is necessary to appoint their successors; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointments
of Pike Burkhart, Baily Gant, Cari Johnson, and Renee Harvey to serve the unexpired terms of
Bill Payne, Mary Ann Chalaire, Lisa Spann, and Linda Ryan, which end March 31,2004; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1, That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
things approved.
Section 2. That Pike Burkhart, Baily Gant, Cari Johnson, and Renee Harvey be, and they
are hereby, appointed to serve the unexpired terms of Bill Payne, Mary Ann Chalaire, Lisa
Spann, and Linda Ryan, which end March 31, 2004, as members of the Main Street Advisory
Board of the City of Paris.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
