RESOLUTION NO. 2004-044
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE LIBRARY ADVISORY
BOARD TO SERVE THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF VICKI TERLAP, WHICH
EXPIRES JUNE 30, 2004, AND JOYCE KENNEMER, WHICH EXPIRES
JUNE 30,2006; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED
TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there exist vacancies in the membership of the Library Advisory Board ofthe
City of Paris due to the resignations of Vicki Terlap and Joyce Kennemer, and it is necessary to
appoint their successors; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor ofthe City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointments of Carl
Lucas to serve the unexpired term of Vicki Terlap, which ends June 30, 2004, and Deborah Hatley,
to serve the unexpired term ofJoyce Kennemer, which ends June 30, 2006; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That Carl Lucas be, and he is hereby, appointed to serve the unexpired term of
Vicki Terlap, which ends June 30, 2004, and that Deborah Hatley be, and she is hereby, appointed
to serve the unexpired term of Joyce Kennemer, which ends June 30, 2006, as members of the
Library Advisory Board ofthe City of Paris.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
