2004-046-RES APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PARIS-LAMR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH
RESOLUTION NO. 2004-046
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PARIS-LAMAR
COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the terms of office of Vicki Bonham, Dr. Robert Moseley, Mrs. Robert
Norment, Dr. Caroline Wilson, Dr. Ed Clark, and Dr. Gordon B. Strom, Jr., as members of the
Paris-Lamar County Board of Health, have expired; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor ofthe City of Paris, with the advice ofthe County Judge of Lamar
County, Texas, does hereby recommend the reappointments of Dr. Caroline Wilson and Dr.
Gordon B. Strom, Jr. and the appointments of Dr. David Carpenter and Rae Jackson for terms
ending December 31, 2004, or until such time as their successors shall be appointed, whichever
is greater, and the reappointments of Vicki Bonham and Dr. Robert Moseley for terms ending
December 31, 2005, or until such time as their successors shall be appointed, whichever is
greater; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS, AND THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF THE COUNTY OF LAMAR:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
things approved.
Section 2. That Dr. Caroline Wilson and Dr. Gordon B. Strom, Jr. be, and they are
hereby, reappointed and that Dr. David Carpenter and Rae Jackson be, and they are hereby,
appointed as members of the Paris-Lamar County Board of Health for terms ending December 31,
2004, until such time as their successors shall be appointed, whichever is greater.
Section 3. That Vicki Bonham and Dr. Robert Moseley be, and they are hereby,
reappointed as members of the Paris-Lamar County Board of Health for terms ending December
31, 2005, until such time as their successors shall be appointed, whichever is greater.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
