RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Preliminary Plat of Lot l, Block A, The Temple of Deliverance Church Addition -
CB 53 and approve a variance for the construction of curb and gutter along NW 6`i' Street.

BACKGROUND:
This property currently exists as lots 4, 5, and 6 of City Block 53. The church would like to build a new
building on the lot. The only infrastructure that does not exist is curb and gutter on NW 6th St. and the
church has requested a variance for the construction of curb and gutter along NW 6`h St. Staff
recommends that the variance be granted. The existing roadway is only 10 to 12 feet wide (typical alley
width) and comments concerning the past few variances included assessments to all of the adjacent
property owners for future roadway improvements.
BOARD/CAMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
The Commission recommended approval of the preliminary plat, subject to City Engineer's
recommendations by a vote of 6-0.

SUBJECT: The Temple of Deliverance Church Addition CB 53 Preliminary Plat
I have reviewed the preliminary plat of the above referenced addition. It appears that the
preliminary plat complies with the City of Paris subdivision regulations with the following
exceptions.
1. Add a contact person to the Church's information.
2. Remove the dashed lot lines and former information from the main drawing and add them
to the inset drawing of the current lot configuration.
I recommend approval of the preliminary plat upon completion of the above items.

This letter is to request a variance for curb and gutter along 6`h Street N. W. as it
is not practical to install at this time. There is also no curb and gutter on either side of 6th
