Chairman Bill Kennedy called the meeting to order. Other board members in attendance were Debbie Anderson, Linda Vandiver, Deborah Hatley, Hilda Mallory, and Jackie Alsobrook. Library Director Priscilla McAnally was present as was Friends of the Library Co-Chair Amanda Green. Minutes from the previous meeting were approved as printed. Two board members have terms expiring next month. Jackie Alsobrook is not eligible for another term. Debbie Anderson is eligible to serve another term. Recommendations for new members were noted. Dave Whittingham, a retired NASA engineer, has donated an M.C. Escher mobile to the library. The Director is still researching prices and options for the ELMO. The budget is on track except in the associations line item where the expenses have run over budget. The statistical report reflected a decrease in circulation over February of last year as well as a decrease in visits. Audio circulation numbers are skewed due to a data entry oversight. Numbers should be an accurate reflection next month as this error is being corrected. Data for interlibrary loans was not available due to a transition in personnel. The Friends luncheon is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24. The number of registrations is disappointing, and thought is being given to not hosting another luncheon. Courtni McEntyre has been hired as a full-time clerk. Book signings by Eddie Fitzgerald and Delbert Davis are scheduled for next Thursday, March 26. The director will be in Nashville Apri12°d-4h for the Public Library Spring Symposium. Bill Kennedy suggested a series of adult travel programs. He and Jackie Alsobrook will work on this project. There being no further business on the agenda, the meeting was adjourned at 4:30 p.m. Submitted by ; aaom~ ~y~~~ Debbie Anderson, Secretary - (_1 n nn 12
