BACKGROUND:
On March 23, 2009 by ordinance number 2009-014 and pursuant to V.T.C.A. Election Code Section
2.053, City Council declared unopposed candidates in City Council Districts 4(Stephen Brown), 5(Will
Biard) and 7(Rhonda Rogers) elected to office.
Pursuant to State Law, a certificate of election shall be issued to each candidate who is elected to office;
each elected officer shall execute a statement of elected officer; and each elected officer shall take the
oath of office prior to taking office.
