A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION
COMMISSION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO
THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the terms of office of Brad Archer and Arvin Starett, as members of the
Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Paris, will expire on Apri130, 2009; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, does hereby recommend the appointment
of Douglas Cox, an owner or resident of a landmark property or property located in one of
the City's designated historic districts, to replace Brad Archer for a term of three (3) years,
beginning May 1, 2009, and ending April 30, 2012 which leaves one position remaining
vacant on the Historic Preservation Commission to be filled later.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby
in all things approved.
Section 2. That Douglas Cox, an owner or resident of a landmark property or
property located in one of the City's designated historic districts, be, and he is hereby
appointed to serve as a member of the Historic Preservation Commission of the City of
Paris for a term of three (3) years, beginning May 1, 2009, and ending Apri130, 2012.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of
passage.
