A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PARIS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION BOARD; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS
RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the terms of office of Richard Severson and Glen Bawcum, as members
of the Paris Economic Development Corporation Board of the City of Paris, will expire on
Apri130, 2009; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, does hereby recommend the
appointments of M. Pike Burhart, Sr. and Rick Poston for terms of three (3) years,
beginning May 1, 2009, and ending April 30, 2012.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby
in all things approved.
Section 2. That M. Pike Burkhart, Sr. and Rick Poston be, and they are hereby
appointed to serve as members of the Paris Economic Development Board of the City of
Paris for terms of three (3) years, beginning May 1, 2009, and ending Apri130, 2012.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of
passage.
