A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION
COMMISSION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO
THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the term of office of Arvin Starett, as a member of the Historic
Preservation Commission of the City of Paris, expired on Apri130, 2009; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, does hereby recommend the
reappointment of Arvin Starett, for a term of three (3) years, beginning May 1, 2009, and
ending Apri130, 2012.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby
in all things approved.
Section 2. That Arvin Starett, a member of the Local Historical Society, be, and
he is hereby appointed to serve as a member of the Historic Preservation Commission of
the City of Paris for a term of three (3) years, beginning May 1, 2009, and ending April 30,
2012.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of
passage.
