A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE PARIS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR OCTOBER 1, 2008, TO
SEPTEMBER 30, 2009 TO TRANSFER FUNDS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS
AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Ciry of Paris approved and accepted the Paris
Economic Development Corporation Budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2008,
and ending September 30, 2009; and,
WHEREAS, the Depot Building, located at 1125 Bonham, OParis, Texas is in need of
maintenance and repair which includes ceiling repair, exterior painting, roof repair, floor
repair and removal of standing water in the basement, that need to be taken care of with an
estimated cost for these repairs to be between $23,000 and $25,000; and,
WHEREAS, on May 12, 2009 the PEDC Board approved the transfer of funds within
their existing budget for the needed repairs; and,
WHEREAS, this transfer does not increase the total budget but moves $25,000 from
line item 02-0002-11-01 (Existing Industry Projects) to line item 02-0401-11-01 (Building
Maintenance); and,
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that said transfers be made within the PEDC 2008-2009
Budget, and the same should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby
in all things approved.
Section 2. That the transfer of $25,000 from line item 02-0002-11-01 (Existing
Industry Projects) to line item 02-0401-11-01 (Building Maintenance) within the PEDC
2008-2009 Budget, for needed repairs to the Depot Building, be, and the same is hereby,
approved.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
