A RESOLUTIOIV OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
APPOINTING BOB HUNDLEY AS CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE CITY OF PARIS;
MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
PROVIDIIVG A1V EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Bob Hundley has been serving as Interim Chief of Police since the resignation
of Karl Louis on January 31, 2009; and,
WHEREAS, during Mr. Hundley's tenure as Interim Chief of Police he handled several
difficult issues with dedicated professionalism and competence; and,
WHEREAS, Interim Chief Hundley has been a member of the City of Paris Police
Department for over 34 years; and,
WHEREAS, the City manager has reviewed Mr. Hundley's skills and qualifications for the
position and recommends that Mr. Hundley serve as Chief of Police for the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Texas, finds and determines that the
appointment of Mr. Bob Hundley as Chief of Police, effective August 10, 2009, is in the best
interests of the City and its citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
things approved.
Section 2. That the appointment of Mr. Bob Hundley to the position of Chief of Police of
the City of Paris is hereby approved and effective as of August 10, 2009.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
