City Engineer Council Date: Development /Directar of Public Works 21, 09/28/09 RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to authorize the execution of an Advanced Funding Agreement with TxDOT for the S. Collegiate Drive intersection realignments, drainage improvements and hotmix asphalt surface in the amount of $300,000.00, for a section of F.M. 1507 (Jefferson Road) between the two intersections with S. Collegiate and authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents. POLICY ISSUE(S): Agreement BACKGROUND: This Advanced Funding Agreement (AFA) with TxDOT will allow the realigrunent of the current intersection layouts and make S. Collegiate the through street with Jefferson Road stopping at S. Collegiate. The AFA will be done in conjunction with TxDOT's project to widen F.M 1507. The cost breakdown is provided in Attachment A(page 8 of 8) of the AFA document. The most expensive portion ($155,000.00) will be the replacement of the current drainage structure under F.M. 1507.
