BACKGROUND:
A request was made to the Traffic Commission regarding vehicles parking in the 2400-2500 block of
Stillhouse Road in the afternoons as North Lamar I.S.D. schools are dismissed. It was reported that
vehicles parking in this area caused traffic congestion and a child safety issue. A"No Parking Zone"
currently does not exist in the 2400-2500 block of Stillhouse Road, which is near Cecil Everett
Elementary School.
The "No Parking Zone" request was presented to the Traffic Commission on September 8, 2009 and the
Commission recommended a"No Parking Zone" be placed on both sides of the road in the 2400-2500
block of Stillhouse Road between the hours of 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Place No Parking Zone in 2400-2500 block Stillhouse Road on both sides of road between hours of
