RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve a resolution authorizing final payment and closing the contract with Sanitation
Soltiitions for the demolition of One Oak Place, located at 655 Graham St., and authorizing the City
Manager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents.

BACKGROUND:
This is the close out for the demolition of One Oak Place by Sanitation Solutions for a total of $35,400.
Ninety percent ($31,860) has been paid and the remaining $3,540.00 will be paid when the contract is
closed out.
The asbestos abatement company TASCO removed 130,000 square feet of asbestos containing materials
thi•oughout the five apartment buildings prior to the demolition by Sanitation Solutions. Approximately
15,000 square feet of asbestos containing matei°ial remained in the five unit property after TASCO was
completed. The remaining poi°tion of asbestos was in an area that had been damaged by fire and was not
structurally sound. This remaining portion of the asbestos was handled in accordance with NESHAP
guide lines during the demolition.

RESOLUTION N0.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
APPROVING FIIVAL PAYMENT AND CLOSING OUT THE CONTRACT FOR
THE DEMOLITION AND DISPOSAL OF VARIOUS STRUCTRUES AT THE
ONE OAK PLACE BUILDING LOCATED AT 655 GRAHAM STREET IN THE
CITY OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED
TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 25th day of
January, 2010, in Resolution No. 2010-017, award the contract for the demolition and
disposal of various structures at the One Oak Place Building located at 655 Graham Street
in the City of Paris to Sanitation Solutions of Paris, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends that final payment be made and the
closing of the contract for said project based upon the completion of said demolition and
disposal project; and,
WHEREAS, the final payment to Sanitation Solutions and the closing of said
demolition and disposal contract should, in all things, be approved and the City manager
should be authorized to execute any necessary documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby
in all things approved.
Section 2. That final payment to Sanitation Solutions be approved and the closing
of the Contract for the demolition and disposal Project at One Oak Place Building be
accepted upon receipt of an executed Final Payment and Release of All Claims Affidavit by
Sanitation Solutions.
Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed
to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, any necessary documents.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of
passage.
