RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve a resolution authorizing a voluntary donation program to benefit the Trail de Paris and
encumbering those funds for the maintenance and improvement of the Trail de Paris.
POLICY ISSUE(S):
Capital improvements; Fiscal management
At the suggestion of Councilman Pickle, the Friends of the Trail have inquired about the possibility of
allowing voluntary donations for maintenance of the Trail de Paris through the City's utility bills similar
to what is currently being done for Keep Paris Beautiful. The KPB Board of Directors administers the
KPB donations for community development. The Trail de Paris donations would be in a City account
dedicated to trail maintenance and improvements managed by the City. New water bills will have to be
ordered soon and this would be a good time to include such a program for the Trail.
