POLICY ISSUE(S):
Required by charter and statute; Fiscal management
BACKGROUND:
Pursuant to Section 45 of the Paris City Charter and Chapter 102 of the Texas Local Government Code,
the City Manager is required to submit the proposed budget to City Council between thirty and ninety
days prior to the beginning of each fiscal year. A copy of the proposed 2010-2011 budget accompanies
the meeting packet in a separate binder. Budget workshops are scheduled from 3:00 -5:00 on August
16, 17, 19, and 20. In addition, the City Manager and Finance Director will be available by appointment
to meet individually with Council Members to discuss any budget details.
