2010-091 RES AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PARIS' BALLOT OF THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE IN GOVERNMENT AT RISK POOL BOARD OF TRUSTEES ELECTIONRESOLUTION NO.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PARIS' BALLOT VOTING FOR PLACES SIX
THROUGH NINE ON THE OFFICIAL BALLOT OF THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL
LEAGUE INTEREGOVERNMENTAL RISK POOL BOARD OF TRUSTEES
ELECTION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, TML-IRP is governed by a board of trustees comprised of employees or
officials of the governing body of an Employer Member of TML-IRP; and,
WHEREAS, on July 12, 2010, the City Council of the City of Paris approved the
nomination of City Manager Kevin Carruth for Place 7 on the Board of Trustees of the Texas
Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool; and,
WHEREAS, the Official Ballot for the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk
Pool Board of Trustees Election for Places six through nine has been received and the City staff
recommends the City of Paris' ballot cast for the following:
Place 6- Michael S. Nyren
Place 7 - Kevin Carruth
Place 8 - Larry Melton
Place 9 - Andres Garza
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the recommended votes be cast and the same
should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in
all things approved.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Paris approves and authorizes a ballot
voting for Places six through nine for the Board of Trustees of the Texas Municipal League
Intergovernmental Risk Pool as follows:
Place 6- Michael S. Nyren
Place 7 - Kevin Carruth
Place 8 - Larry Melton
Place 9 - Andres Garza
