RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to appoint to f 11 the unexpired term of Wendi Hildreth on the Main Street
Advisory Board.
POLICY ISSUE(S):
City boards and commissions.
BACKGROUND:
On November 8, 2010, Wendi Hildreth resigned from the Main Street Advisory Board because she
moved to another city.
Duties/Purpose: Advises the City Council and recommends Main Street program policies, goals and
objectives. Also recommends guidelines for the refurbishing of buildings in the downtown area,
recommends programs to bring patrons into the downtown area, and sponsors advertising for downtown
events. Membership is reserved for one member of the Historic Preservation Commission.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD TO
SERVE THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF WENDY HILDRETH SINGER, WHICH
EXPIRES ON APRIL 30, 2012; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the Main Street Advisory
Board of the City of Paris due to the resignation of Wendy Hildreth Singer, and it is
necessary to appoint her successor; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the
appointment of to serve the unexpired term of Wendy
Hildreth Singer, which ends April 30, 2012;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby
in all things approved.
Section 2. That be, and he is hereby, appointed to
serve the unexpired term of Wendy Hildreth Singer, which ends April 30, 2012, as a
member of the Main Street Advisory Board of the City of Paris.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective immediately upon passage.
