A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD TO
SERVE THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF WENDY HILDRETH SINGER, WHICH
EXPIRES ON APRIL 30, 2012; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; A1VD PROVIDIIVG A1V
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the Main Street Advisory
Board of the City of Paris due to the resignation of Wendy Hildreth Singer, and it is
necessary to appoint her successor; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the
appointment of Dustin Lindsey to serve the unexpired term of Wendy Hildreth Singer,
which ends April 30, 2012;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby
in all things approved.
Section 2. That Dustin Lindsey be, and he is hereby, appointed to serve the
unexpired term of Wendy Hildreth Singer, which ends April 30, 2012, as a member of the
Main Street Advisory Board of the City of Paris.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective immediately upon passage.

A RESOLUTIOIV OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF HERBERT PRESTON AS A MEMBER
OF THE FIRE FIGHTERS' AND POLICE OFFICERS' CIVIL SERVICE
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FIIVDIIVGS A1VD
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the term of office of Zenetta Fulbrig*ht, as a member of the Fire Fighters'
and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission of the City of Paris, will expire on December
31, 2010; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris, in accordance with the authority
granted in Section 143.006(b) of the Local Government Code, has appointed Herbert
Preston for a term of three (3) years, beginning January 1, 2011, and ending December 31,
2013, and has submitted the name of such person to the City Council for confirmation;

PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby
in all things approved.
Section 2. That the appointment of Herbert Preston, as a member of the Fire
Fighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission of the City of Paris, for a term of
three (3) years, beginning January 1, 2011, and ending December 31, 2013, be, and the
same is hereby, confirmed.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
