Motion to confirm the City Manager's appointment of a Public Works Director.

Article IlI Section 23 of the City Charter states that while the City Manager appoints all city employees,
the City Council, in the case of department heads, approves those appointments. I am therefore
requesting that the City Council confirm my selection of Ron Sullivan as Director of Public Works. Mr.
Sullivan is a graduate of Texas A&M and is a professional engineer. He has a total of 34 years
experience in 3 Texas cities and with the Texas Department of Transportation. He will be a valuable
addition to the City staff.
