RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Motion to approve renovation of the public areas on the first and second floors of City Hall and the two small
offices on the second floor.
POLICY ISSUE(S):
Asset Management
The public areas on the first and second floor of have had no maintenance since the mid-1970's with the
exception of carpeting which has been replaced a couple of times during that period. We have peeling
wallpaper, water stained ceiling tiles, peeling paint, worn carpet, and electrical lighting that is no longer
functioning. The two office areas on the second floor are the old Law Library and the HR Officer's
office. These offices just need painting and carpet. The Manager requests to spend an amount not to
exceed $25,000 in affecting these repairs. These funds will come from money left over from the
renovation of the City Council Room.
