AN ORDINANCE OF TIIE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING TI-IAT
ANNCXATION ORDINANCC NO. 99-025, PASSF,D AND ADOPTCD ON THE 25TH DAY
OF MARCI-I, 1999, BE AMCNDCD BY DCLCTINC TRACT 1 TIiEREFROM;
REPCALING ALL ORDINANCCS OR PARTS OF ORDTNANCES IN CONFLICT
I-IEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFCCTIVC DATE OF NIAY 10, 1999.
WI-IEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 25th day of
March, 1999, in Ordinance No. 99-025, annex eleven (11) tracts of land belonging to the North
Lamar Independent Scliool District, being approximately 150 acres, more or less; and,
WHEREAS, upon closer review of such annexation, it was detennined that Tract 1
described in said Ordinance No. 99-025 was not adjacent to tlle City Limits of the City of Paris;
and,
WHCREAS, it is, tllerefore, deemed appropriate tliat Tract 1 be deleted from the
annexation; NOW, THCRCFORE,
BC IT ORDAINCD BY TIIE CITY COUNCIL OF TI-IC CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Tract 1 described in Ordinance No. 99-025 of tlie City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be, and the same is Iiereby, deleted from tlie property annexed by said Ordinance.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts oi'ordinances in conflict lierewitli are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 3. Tllis ordinance sliall become effective on May 10, 1999.
