AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR TI3C EXTCNSION OF CERTAIN
BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE
ANNEXATION OF CCRTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 3,650.642 ACRES, MORE
OR LESS, WHICH IS LESS THAN TWENTY PERCENT (20%) OI+' THE TERRITORY
INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRCSENT CITY LIMITS, WHICH SAID TERR.ITORY LIFS
ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESE, NT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS; APPROVING SERVICE PLAN AND PROVIDING ZONING FOR
SAID TERRITORY.
WHEREAS, public hearings before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
where all interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be Ileard on tlle proposed
annexation of the following described property:

Westerly Northwest corner of said 45.545 acre tract;

Line of U.S. Hwy. 271 a distance of 387.6 feet to an iron pin (s) for corner at the
Southerly Southeast corner of Farm Road 1508;
THENCE along the Easterly and Southerly Boundary Line of Farm Road
1-508 as follows: North 36 Deg. 55 Min. East a distance of 10 feet to an iron pin (s);
Around a curve (R=297.8 feet, C=North 13 Deg. 42 Min. East a distance of 547.5
feet) to the right a distance of 694.6 feet to an iron pin (s); North 80 Deg. 30 Min.
East a distance of 861.4 feet to the place of beginning and containing 18.43 acres of
land.
Being a part of that property described in Tract 8 hereof.
Section 5. It is liereby declared to be the intention of the City Council of the City of Paris
that the sections, paragraplis, sentences, clauses and pilrases of this ordinance are severable, and
if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section of this ordinance sha(1 be declared
unconstitutional or invalid by die valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction,
such unconstitutionality or invalidity sha(I not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses,
sentences, paragraphs and sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by
the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any unconstitutional or invalid
phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs or sections. It is further hereby declared to be tlle
intention of the City Council of the City of Paris to exclude any area or areas described in the
description of the property to be annexed, whicli are not witllin said City's jurisdiction to annex
and that such area or areas should be carved out of the description by the valid judgment or decree
of any court of competent jurisdiction, in order that such area or areas would not cause this
annexation ordinance to be found to be invalid, voidable or void.
Section 6. Tllis ordinance shall be publisiletl and passed in the manner provided in Article
II, Section 7, of the Charter of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas.
