W HEREA5, a public hearingbeeo ee tv ded wi h an oppo tunl ty to beris, Texas, where all interested persons V Pro heard on the proposed annexai;ion of the followi.ng described -territory: Situated in the Gounty of Lamar and State of Texas, and being a part of the Joseph Leach Survey, and being a part of a tract of land described in a deed dated August 19, 19642 from Lamar Truelcing Company to R. M. Ginsberg, and recorded in Boolc 419, Page 115, Lamar County Deed Records, and being clescribed by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point where the South Boundary Line of the R. M. Ginsberg tract intersects the present Gity Limit Line North East of the Gity of Paris; Thence Easi: with the South Boundary Line of the Ginsberg ~ tract, 820 feet to the S. E. Corner thereof; Thence North with the E. B. Line of said Ginsberg tract, 1976 feet to the North East Corner of said tract; Thence West with the N. B. Line of the Ginsberg tract, 1278 feet to the Nor1:h W est Corner of said tract; Thence South to a point where the West Boundary Line of the Ginsberg tract intersects the present City Limit Line North E'ast of the Gity of Paris, a distance of 1405 fee1:. Being all of said Ginsberg tract which is not now within the City Limits of the City of Paris. was held at Paris, Texas, on the 23rd day of May, A. D., 1966, which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior i;o the institui:ion of annexation proceedings; and, • WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Pari.s, Texas, and in the aUove described territory, on the 12th day of May, A. D., 1966, which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing; and, WHEREA5, the population of the City of Paris, Texas, is in excess of 52 000 and less than 25, 000 inhabitants; and, , WHEREAS, the above described territory li.es within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Paris.. Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the City of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory contains approximately fifty-eight acres; and, ' WHEREAS, the above described territory coni;ains less than ten per cent (101o) of the present acreage contained in the corporal:e limits of the City of Paris, Tex.as; NO'Ny THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TI-E, CITY COUNCI.L OF T'HE CITY OF PARIS., TEXA5: Sectian 1. The following described land and territory lying adjacent to and adjoining the City of Paris, Texas, is hereby added and annexed to the City of Paris, Texas, and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be in- cluded within the boundarylimits of the City of Paris, Texas, and the present boundary limits of said city, at the various points contiguous to the area here- inafter described, are altered and amended so as to include said area within the corpo rate limits of the City of Paris, to -wit: Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, and being a part of the Joseph Leach Survey, and being a part of a tract of land described in adeed dai;ed Augusi: 19, 1964, from Lam-c-ir Trucking Company 'I;o R. M. Ginsberg, and recorded in Boolc 419, Page 115, Lamd.r County Deed Records, and being described by metes and bounds as follow5: Beginning at a point where the Soui;h Boundary Line of the R.M. Gi_nsberg tract intersects the present City Limit Line North East of the City of Paris; Thence East with the Soutli Boundary Line of the Gi.nsUerg tract, 820 feet i:o the S. E. Corner thereof; Thence Nori:h with the E. B. Line of said Gi.nsberg tract, 1976 feet to the North East Corner of said i:ract; Thence W(-- st with the NoB. Line of the Ginsberg 'tracta 1278 feet to the North Wast Corner of said tract; Thence South to a point where the W est Iioundary Line of the Gi.nsberg tract intersects the present City Limit Line North East of the City of Pa.ris, a distance of 1405 feet. Being all of said Gi.nsberg tract which is not now within the City Litnits of ttie City of Paris. Section 2. The above described territory and area so annexed shall be a part of the City of Paris: Texas., and the property so a3ded here'ay shall Uear its pro rata part of the taxes levied by the City of Paris, Tex.as, and the in- habitants thereof sha.ll be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of atl the citizens and shall be bound by tlie aci:s, ordinances, resolutions, and regulations of the City of Paris, Texas.
