A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR UPDATING THE CITY OF PARIS SALARY SURVEY BY WATERS CONSULTING GROUP, INC.; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did on the 8th day of November, 1999, approve and authorize City staff to obtain proposals for a wage study to be conducted by an outside consultant; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris did on the lst day of August, 2000 execute a Professional Services Agreement with Waters Consulting Group, Inc. for the preparation of a Salary Survey for the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris is in need of the services of Waters Consulting Group, Inc. for an updated salary survey; and, WHEREAS, is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Paris that such professional services contract in the form approved by the City Manager and the City Attorney be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the proposal of Waters Consulting Group, Inc. for professional services to update the City of Paris Salary Survey, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein for all purposes, be, and the same is hereby accepted. Section 3. That the Mayor of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris a Professional Services Contract in a form approved by the City Attorney, by and between the City of Paris and Waters Consulting Group, Inc., for the preparation of an updated salary survey of City personnel. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of July, 2004.
