A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUN IL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS, APPROVING THE ASSIGNME T OF A TAXICAB FRANCmSE
FROM DENNIS NELMS, DBA CITY CA COMPANY TO ROGER EDWARDS
AND BOYD HARMENING DBA PARIS RANSPORT, LLC.; MAKING
OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS LA TED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore in Ordinance No. ,
on the 9th day of August, 2004, grant to Dennis Nelm dba City Cab, a franchise to use the public streets,
alleys, and highways of the City of Paris for the purp se of transporting passengers for hire in motor
vehicles for a period of three (3) years, beginning A gust 10,2004, and ending August 9, 2007; and
WHEREAS, Dennis Nelms dba City Cab h sold bis taxicab business and is no longer desirous
of continuing with said franchise and has requested t e City Council of the City of Paris to approve the
execution and an assignment of the franchise to Rog r Edwards and Boyd Harmening dba Paris
Transport, LLC.; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to con inue the franchise for the taxicab service with
Roger Edwards and Boyd Harmening dba Paris Tran port, LLc.; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO
TEXAS:

Section 1. That the findings set out in the pr amble Ito this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the assignment of the franc ise froqt Dennis Nelms dba City Cab Company to
Roger Edwards and Boyd Harmening dba Paris Tran port LJ-.c. is hereby approved; and
Section 3. That the Mayor of the City ofPa 's, Curtis Fendley, be, and he is hereby authorized
and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the As~ignment in form of Exhibit A attached
hereto. .
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effe ive froþ and after its date of passage.
