A meeting of the member of the Paris Main Street Adviso y
Board was held on Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at 3 p.m., in the
City Hall Annex Break Room, with Zach Saffle, Chairma ,
presiding.
PRESENT:
David House, Jennifer Long, Zach Saffle, Linda Su
and Barbara Wilson
ABSENT:
Suzy Harper and Bill Kirby
Alternate Members: Deanna Roberts, Renee Harvey and
Bailey Gant (no alternate members were present)
Also present were:
Lindsey Harper, Main Street Coordinator, City of Paris
The meeting was called to order at 3:10 p.m.
The minutes of the previous meeting held on Monday, Jun 23,
2004, were unanimously approved as submitted on a moti n by
Barbara Wilson, seconded by Linda Suarez.

New Main Street Board members were announced and
welcomed: Jennifer Long, Bill Kirby and Deanna Robi
Lindsey Harper reported on the possible funding for the
pocket park stating that the City Council encouraged the
pursuit of funding. Currently work is being done with th
Meadows Foundation.
Lindsey Harper then updated the Board on the planning f r
the Festival of Pumpkins. Quintana Honda has donated
$10,000 to the festival. The next planning meeting will be eld
on August 2.
Discussion was held with regard to the flowers, trees and
planter boxes with the result of the discussion sending the
matter to the sub-committee comprised of Barbara Wilso and
Suzy Harper.
Discussion regarding benches for downtown resulted in th
selection of 8 backless and 4 with back benches in black a d six
feet in length.
Work on the PJC parking lot will begin once the applic
for Certificate of Appropriateness is approved.

A Main street Paris Website is being developed by Ron
Hervey.

A date is being set for the goal setting meeting.
There was no report on the low interest loans.
Items for future agendas included logo designs and public
restrooms.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourn
4:25 p.m. on a motion by Linda Suarez, seconded by Zach
Saffle.
