RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO.1 TO CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF DOWNTOWN STREETS CAPE PROJECT,
FEDERAL PROJECT STP 2000 (615) TE, CSJ-0901-29-017,
CONCURRENT WITH THE APPRO V AL OF THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION; MAKING OTHER
FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 8th day of
December, 2003, in Resolution No. 2300-187, award the contract for the "Downtown Streetscape
Project, Federal Project STP 2000 (615) TE," to Encino Landscape, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, Hayter Engineering, Inc., acting as project engineer, recommends the
amendment of the contract for said project to adjust services associated with curbs, ramps, outdoor
carpet, sidewalk resurfacing, drains, and other features, and providing for a net decrease of
$4,956.22 in the contract price; and,
WHEREAS, the Change Order No.1 Summary, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should
in all things be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute a Change Order form
concurrent with the approval of the Texas Department of Transportation; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section I. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all
things approved.
Section 2. That the Change Order No.1 Summary, to the Contract for tlYcDowntown
Streetscape Project, Federal Project STP 2000 (615) TE," attached hereto as Exhibit A, to
adjust services associated with curbs, ramps, outdoor carpet, sidewalk resurfacing, drains, and
other features, and providing for a net decrease of $4,956.22 in the contract price, be, and the
same is hereby, approved.
Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on
behalf of the City of Paris, a Change Order No.1, upon the terms and conditions and in
conformance with the Summary shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, concurrent with the approval
of the Texas Department of Transportation.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage,
PASSED AND APPROVED this 9th day of September, 2004.
