A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE PARIS-LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the one-year term of office of Mrs. Denise Williams ended April 30, 2010; WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, with the advice of the County Judge of Lamar County, Texas, does hereby recommend the appointment of Mr. Bill Strathern, resident of Lamar County to a three-year term beginning October 1, 2011 and ending September 30, 2014. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That Mr. Bill Strathern, citizen, be and is hereby appointed to serve as a member of the Paris-Lamar County Board of Health for a term of three years, beginning October 1, 2011, and ending September 30, 2014.
