1.The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Vice-
Chairman Barbara Wilson at 4:00 P.M.
A.The following members were present:
Barbara Wilson, Vice Chairman
Ann Rodgers, Secretary
Sue Lancaster
Paul Denney
Jerry Raper
Claudia Hunt
Alternates:Brian Wear
Becki Norment
B.The following members were absent:
Arvin Starrett, Chairman
C.Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer, and
Bethany Golden, Main Street Coordinator.
2.Vice-Chairman Wilson asked the Commission to consider Item 3 first.
Item 3. Consideration of and action on granting the following requests for
facade grants:
A.. The HPO explained
120 N. Main Street - Kit Lindsey and Jennifer Long
that this work had already been approved by COA. Motion to approve
the request was made by Paul Denney, seconded by Sue Lancaster.
Motion carried 7-0.

Item 2. Consideration of and action on the following Certificate of
Appropriateness:
A. Don Wilson told the

Commission that he wanted to install transom windows that would be

the same level, even though they were at two different locations, to give
the building uniformity. He also said he wanted to install overhead
doors that rise in one piece instead of rolling, with another door next
to it that was a false front matching the overhead door. He requested
approval of Drawing A-10A.
Motion to excuse Barbara Wilson from the meeting was made by
Claudia Hunt, seconded by Paul Denney. Motion carried 6-0. Motion to
approved the COA, Drawing A-10A, was made by Claudia Hunt,
seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 6-0. Motion to return
Barbara Wilson to the meeting was made by Sue Lancaster, seconded
by Ann Rogers. Motion carried 6-0.

Discussion of and possible action regarding the following structures
considered by code inspectors to be in violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled
“Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures,” to determine
whether such buildings or structures can be rehabilitated and designated on
the National Register of Historic Places, as a recorded Texas Historic
Landmark, or as historic property as designated by the City Council of the
City of Paris:

Discussion of and possible action on adopting a revised design for a

area. She also said she was able to get lower quotes than those in the initial
