BACKGROUND:
As per the City Council's direction on January 9, 2012 staff is in the process of negotiating a proposal to
retain the services of a design firm to develop a plans and specifications for addressing the rehabilitation
of the Trail de Paris including the section from the Loop to the east city limits.
We requested proposals from seven firms. We received two responses from KSA Engineering and
Hayter Engineering. Based on our review of the proposals we have requested a priced proposal from
Hayter Engineering including a detailed Scope of Services. We are currently in the process of
negotiating the Scope of Services and respective fee.
Once the negotiations have been completed we will submit the completed proposal to the City Council
for their consideration and approval.
