AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A MULTIPLE-FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1) ON LOT 10, CITY BLOCK 255-A, ON PROPERTY
BELONGING TO MARY GAYNELL OTTINGER, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN
TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT
NO. 2(SF-2); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE MULTIPLE-FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1) SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A
PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS
OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE OF MAY 1, 1998.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance
No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a
MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1) be, and the same is hereby,
established on LOT 10, CITY BLOCK 255-A, on property belonging to MARY GAYNELL
OTTINGER, so as to include in such MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1
(MF-1) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a
ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2), and that the boundaries of said
MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1), be, and the same are hereby,
established as follows:
SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of
Lamar, and State of Texas, and being a part of the Hiram Williams Survey and
being Lot 10, City Block 255-A, also being the same land conveyed to Sarah
Thrasher by deed recorded in Volume 221, Page 189, of the Lamar County Deed
Records, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin set for corner in the North Boundary Line of
E. Price Street, being the Southwest corner of said Thrasher Lot;
THENCE North a distance of 255.0 feet to an iron pin set for corner;
THENCE South 89° 10' East a distance of 88.0 feet to an iron pin set for
corner;
THENCE South a distance of 255.0 feet to an iron pin set for corner in the
North Boundary Line of E. Price Street;
THENCE North 88° 10' West with said North Boundary Line a distance
of 88.0 feet to the place of beginning, being number 2663 E. Price Street.
Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby,
directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilry of
a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and
each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated sections shall constitute
and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective May 1, 1998.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the Ciry of Paris, in regular session
convened, in the Council Chambers, Ciry Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 13th day of April, 1998.
